Access to a computer is no longer a convenience in Bangladesh; it is the entry point to education, employment and public services. Job applications, admission processes, banking, government forms and even the records of a small shop have moved onto screens. In densely populated communities, many capable and willing people are held back for one reason alone: they have never had the chance to sit at a keyboard. We have taken up computer training to close that gap.
The training is designed to begin at the beginning: operating a computer with confidence, typing in both Bangla and English, preparing documents and simple spreadsheets, using email, searching for information online, and completing the online forms daily life now demands. We are committed to teaching in plain language, to keeping groups small enough that every participant gets real time at the machine, and to building each session around tasks people actually need rather than abstract theory.
Safe and responsible use belongs in that plan from the start. We will cover protecting personal information, recognising online fraud, and the environmental cost of electronic equipment, so that devices are used carefully, repaired where possible and never dumped as ordinary waste. Digital skill and environmental responsibility are not separate subjects to us.
We are preparing this training for students, young people whose schooling ended early, women looking for work close to home, and adults who want to improve their livelihood. Anyone who would like to take part, to volunteer as an instructor, or to host sessions in their own community is welcome to contact us.
